Eberle active in the “A³ climate-neutral” initiative🌱⚙️

JN Eberle & Cie GmbH – as a manufacturer of industrial saw blades and other high-quality strip steel products – has been involved in the initiative "A³ climate neutral." Since then, Eberle has compiled an annual CO2 balance sheet and documented the gradual reduction in emissions. Andreas Thiel, Managing Director of Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH: “We are pleased to have Eberle, a company with traditional roots in Augsburg, on board our “A³ climate-neutral” initiative.”

At Eberle, high-temperature steel processing has traditionally been associated with high power consumption, significant waste heat, and the emission of process gases. The untapped savings potential in this area is now being systematically exploited.

In the first steps, Eberle trained its employees and eliminated compressed air leaks. The company then lowered the air temperature in the production halls and reduced the consumption of the process gases nitrogen and hydrogen. Furthermore, Eberle optimized its processes and has already significantly reduced electricity consumption. Employees aren't left out either. They can lease e-bikes at low cost.

Looking ahead, Eberle wants to achieve this by 2030, when Initiative A³ climate neutral ends, have reduced its greenhouse gas emissions to the maximum. "At the planned new location, we want to produce with optimized energy efficiency," says Eberle Managing Director Gernot Egretzberger. To achieve truly climate-neutral operations, the company's residual emissions must be managed in a climate-friendly manner, as well as be constantly monitored by the CO2 Balance sheets and the associated measures.
