Energy saving through intelligent lighting 💡

J.N. Eberle & Cie. GmbH is a manufacturing company with high energy consumption. Therefore, we are continuously working to reduce our energy use. High energy consumption caused by shift operations in the production halls has been successfully reduced.

The switch from conventional light bulbs to LED lighting had particularly high potential. LEDs offer significantly higher light output per watt and have a lower power drop during continuous operation compared to conventional lights. This is especially advantageous in hard-to-reach areas such as high-bay warehouses or above machines.

Further improvements were achieved through demand-based control using motion detectors and brightness sensors. In the high-bay warehouse, motion detectors have proven especially effective due to forklift traffic.

The number of light bulbs could also be reduced thanks to the better brightness.

The benefits at a glance:

Since 2023, these measures have saved 78 light bulbs and approximately 291,000 MWh per year.
