
Energy savings through intelligent lighting 💡
JN Eberle & Cie. GmbH is an energy-intensive manufacturing company. Therefore, we are constantly working to reduce our energy consumption. We have successfully reduced the high energy consumption caused by shift work in our production facilities.
The switch from conventional light sources to LEDs offered particularly high potential. LEDs offer significantly higher luminous efficacy per watt and, compared to conventional lights, exhibit lower power loss during continuous operation. This is a further advantage, especially in hard-to-reach places such as high-bay warehouses or above machinery.
Further improvements were achieved through demand-based control using motion detectors and brightness sensors. Motion detectors have proven particularly effective in the high-bay warehouse due to the forklift traffic.
The number of light sources could also be reduced due to the improved luminosity.
